Regarded as one of Japan’s finest platforms for distinguished and engaging discussions, the ICJC Friday Night Lecture Series presents four to six lectures/workshops every year led by specialists in Japanese architecture, history, literature, music, visual arts and much more. The series offers the international community as well as Japanese audiences one-time presentations with the most relevant, engaged and original chroniclers of our present time.
For the 2016-2017 year, ICJC collaborates with our partner arts organization Yamaboushi. A double workshop-style lecture and exhibit by Kiyotaka Tsuyuki, yosegi specialist and Kenichi Itoh, gosho specialist will be held in Hakone in a unique one-day all-inclusive tour. The third lecture by Dr. Minako Waseda will be held at the Yokohama International School library. The final special workshop will be held on a Sunday and located at Mr. Sengen Hiruma’s tea house in Tsurumi (15 minutes from Yokohama station)
For all lectures/workshops, advance registration is required and some may have certain fees. Please check the details for each lecture in this brochure. For more information or to register, please use the form below or contact ICJC directly at 045.263.8009, or by email at info(at mark)icjc.jp.
