The "21st Century Japanese Music Project" is an ICJC ongoing initiative to promote new music for Japanese traditional instruments and collaborate with local communities. This project focuses on a series of three special concerts/workshops in three different cities (Fukuoka, Sendai and Tokyo) held in conjunction with both local international schools and Japanese universities.
This concert and workshop in Fukuoka are in collaboration with Fukuoka International School with workshops for the students on Thursday, December 1. On Friday, December 2, the FIS Elementary Choirs perform with Fukuoka-based Kahoko Hakoda Koto Ensemble and two special guests (Hideaki Kuribayashi, koto and Ayumi Shimonoto, shamisen and voice) at Momochi Palace. For concert tickets, please contact ICJC at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are 900 yen.
